How often have you spotted an error in a published document? It happens more often than you’d think. Our extremely useful proofreading and copy-editing services aim to find and correct the small errors that we all make – we find the things that spell checkers miss.

Editorial services are like onions – there are layers to the work we can do. The first layer is proofreading. We look at the basics with proofreading; Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar, as well as basic formatting and general consistency throughout your document, such as the use of US vs UK English.

Copy-editing is the next ‘layer’. When we copy-edit a document, we look at your use of language, whether you’re consistent within the document (i.e. references to tables or images), as well as all the proofreading services we offer.

We do a lot of our work within the commercial archaeology sector, including reports that are published on The Archaeological Data Service (ADS) approved by the Local Councils.
